Scholarships The First Tee of Roanoke Valley’s primary mission is to provide young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop, through golf and character education, life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. The First Tee program teaches children lessons that lay the foundation needed to meet the many challenges of life. In support of this mission, need-based scholarships have been made available to help introduce the game’s traditions, values, history and science to juniors throughout southwest Virginia. To be considered for a program scholarship, please complete and return the following application and ask a teacher or coach to download, complete, and return the teacher recommendation form. As a national organization, The First Tee offers participants an expanding array of scholarship opportunities - for good students, leaders and/or good golfers. As participants achieve levels of certification, they become eligible to apply for scholarship opportunities. PACE Resource Center
The First Tee PACE (Providing Assistance for Careers and Education) Resource Center was created to equip eligible participants (ages 13-18) and their parents with information and resources to learn more about applying for college, college scholarships, and career exploration.
