Staff at The First Tee of Roanoke Valley are dedicated to providing a safe environment for youth to develop golf and lifeskills.
A North Carolina native and graduate of Queens College in Charlotte, Jennifer moved to Roanoke in 1998. Since arriving in the Valley, Jennifer has worked in non-profit development for Mill Mountain Theatre and Center in the Square. Previous experience includes marketing and development work for non-profits in Tennessee and North Carolina. Jennifer has served as the Executive Director of The First Tee of Roanoke Valley since the effort was started in 2003.
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Bill moved to Roanoke fifteen years ago. Bill and his wife Michelle recently celebrated their twelfth anniversary and have two wonderful boys, Jackson and Henry.
Bill began his golf career at Countryside Golf Course, and then served as Billy McBride III’s assistant golf professional at Westlake Golf & Country Club. In May, 2013, Bill was elected into the Professional Golfers’ Association, earning membership as a Class-A PGA Professional. Coach Bill joined The First Tee of Roanoke Valley in 2014 and earned The First Tee Coach status in November 2016.
Our chapter is one of many in The First Tee network. The First Tee is reaching young people in all 50 states and select international locations on golf courses, in elementary schools and through other youth-serving organizations.
